All submitted papers will be reviewed for merit and content. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings and submitted to the IEEE Explore Digital Library. Outstanding papers will be considered for publication in special issues of international journals.
Confirmed journal special issues(updated dynamically):
Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics
Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering
IEEE Transaction on Reliability
Note: Authors of selected papers from PHM 2016 will be invited to submit
an extended version to a special section of IEEE Transactions on
Reliability (T-Rel). However, such an invitation does not imply
acceptance of the paper. All the submissions will be evaluated following
the guidelines set by T-Rel. Only those which satisfy all the criteria

PHM in Rail Transport
Currently, the technology of Rail Transport is advancing rapidly. The Rail Transportation System has been more and more significant in the economic development and high technology industry. Recently, China has become a critical power within the research, manufacturing and operation of the Rail Transportation system all over the world. The safety and reliability, which is crucial to the Rail Transportation system, is the most desired features and research interests. Meanwhile, Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) has revolutionized the perception of product reliability and has resulted in a broad range of applications. PHM within Rail Transport has been one of the top researches in the field.
However, due to the high speed, high density, complex operation condition, significant accident impaction of the Rail Transportation System, as well as the nonlinearity, nonstationary and nongaussian of the signals, PHM in Rail Transport is being faced with challenges. Therefore, a special session, called PHM in Rail Transport has been proposed by State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control & Safety at Beijing Jiaotong University during PHM-2016 Chengdu. This Session will cover the research and application on PHM technology within the Rail Transport, and match-up world-class expertise in the field to facilitate synergistic exchanges of ideas and practices. Researchers and participants from academia, industry, and government organizations are invited to submit papers on this topic.
